Bosch Teams up with Tough Mudder Again

Bosch and Tough Mudder celebrate a hat-trick of partnerships in 2017.

The Bosch Professional Power Tools and Tough Mudder UK Partnership goes from strength to strength as it enters its third year of joint venture to deliver the toughest, muddiest most energising and uplifting challenge available anywhere on the British Isles. The rugged tests of mental endurance and physical versatility demand nothing less than fully committed teamwork as Mudders quickly learn that co-operation is key.

Three of the brand new, fiendish obstacles for 2017 were unveiled at a special preview day in Canary Wharf. The Mud Chute event also gave happy Team Bosch Mudders the chance to get valuable training tips before the first event in West London on Saturday 29 April, which will also see the awesome new Bosch Basecamp challenge revealed!

Bosch Power Tools are used for the course construction and David Solan is the man tasked with organising the course build for each of the seven venues across the UK in 2017. “Our obstacle build sites can be really remote,” he explained “the logistics of getting our build materials to our sites is one of the most challenging parts of the job. Your tools letting you down when you’re an hour’s drive in a 4×4 from your site store is the last thing you need. Durability, versatility and long battery life is a must, not an option.”

This year Bosch Power Tools will be adding the wide-ranging benefits of connectivity to the Mudder build, enabling the construction team to both remotely load preferred settings to their tools and enjoy hands-free adjustments to maximise efficiency. Steve Hillier is Marketing Director at Bosch Professional Power Tools and looking forward to the start of the season: “The Tough Mudder team manages to deliver fresh challenges each year and we share a strong ethos of teamwork which really adds a sizzle to our working together.”
