A survey from The Grocer’s 2015 Switch the Lights campaign suggests that retail businesses aim to have at least 80% of total floor space lit by LEDs by 2020.
And 85% of companies who have changed, said that switching to LED lighting had resulted in “highly beneficial” or “beneficial” savings to maintenance budgets. Upgrading lighting in non-domestic premises offers a huge energy and cost saving opportunities, can you afford to miss out?
To help maximise the transition to energy saving lighting for non-domestic premises a number of workshops are being held as part of the European initiative Premium Light Pro funded by Horizon 2020.
As partners with Premium Light Pro, the Energy Saving Trust lead these workshops and offer the opportunity to learn from some of the most experienced trainers in the lighting community.
The Lighting Industry Academy is pleased to provide the expertise and venue, for the first of these workshops.
Titled Premium Light Pro – Right Light, Right Place, Right Time the workshop will be held on the 15 February 2018 at the LIA Telford and covers:
- An introduction to LED lighting and controls, and the savings possible
- Understanding technical jargon and manufacturer data sheets
- Design: the right light in the right place at the right time, and how best to use daylight
- Procurement, quality, cost, and performance claims
- Project funding information
