NAPIT Registered Installers were updated on fire and carbon monoxide detection and legislation by Aico during the latest round of Regional NAPIT Trade Association (NTA) meetings.
The NTA meetings were held in 12 locations across England and Wales throughout March, including a new meeting at fire and CO alarm specialist Aico’s Head Office in Oswestry.
NAPIT Registered Installers were treated to a presentation from Aico, covering the installation, commissioning and certification requirements of smoke, heat and CO alarms. This was accompanied by a technical presentation from NAPIT on the electrical installation, certification and notification requirements for fire or carbon monoxide detection, as well as updates on the Trade Association’s campaigning priorities.
All attendees also received a FREE Electrical Contractors Handybook and screwdriver pen courtesy of Aico.
Michael Wright, Marketing Manager at Aico, said: “Aico are delighted to have worked with NAPIT by presenting at their Trade Association Meetings. We feel it is important that installers are fully informed with regards to installation standards and legislation, plus the products and technologies that are available to them to provide effective solutions to their customers.
“The Trade Association Meetings have been a great forum to present this information and we have found attendees to be receptive, enthusiastic and willing to learn. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with attendees leaving more knowledgeable in providing installation best practice.”
“I’ve always found the regional meetings very useful and having companies such as Aico delivering presentations on industry issues has served to improve them further.”
Peter Davidson, of Access-One Limited, is the NAPIT Regional Representative for the Thames Valley region and commented on the latest meeting: “I’ve always found the regional meetings very useful and having companies such as Aico delivering presentations on industry issues has served to improve them further. Those who attended engaged well with the presentations, which also provided an excellent update on the latest activities of the Trade Association and gave plenty of opportunity for the audience to ask any burning questions.”
Frank Bertie, the NAPIT Trade Association Chairman, said: “It was great to have Aico at the March Trade Association Meetings. Their presentation provided key information to our members, helping to keep them up-to-date on the latest regulations.
“Our meetings are designed to give all members a chance to get involved. They are the ideal forum for them to learn more about their trade through technical presentations, updates on campaigning priorities and the opportunity to raise any concerns, ideas or feedback they may have.”
