Fergus, the leading job management software for trades businesses, has announced the launch of its new enquiry management feature, designed to simplify the way users handle customer enquiries from start to finish. The new tool integrates seamlessly with the Fergus platform and Fergus Go app, allowing tradespeople to manage their job requests more efficiently without relying on third-party software.
The latest update offers users the ability to add a manual job enquiry form directly to their website. Instructions are provided for major web builders like WiX and Squarespace, making it easy for businesses to embed the form and connect it to the Fergus platform.
“Our new enquiry management feature addresses a key challenge for trades businesses—keeping track of incoming job requests. By centralising enquiries within the Fergus platform, we’re helping our users streamline their operations, reduce admin time, and focus on what really matters: growing their business,” says Mark Bartels, Fergus CEO.
Once enquiries are submitted, Fergus users can view and manage them through a new “Enquiries” section on the dashboard. This area provides an at-a-glance view of unprocessed enquiries, with a red dot signalling new submissions. Enquiries are categorised into four ranks: To Do, Contacted, Job Created and Rejected. Users can easily track each request’s progress and ensure nothing slips through the cracks and can filter and search the enquiries list by status or any table column, making it easy to locate specific entries. Users can also add manual enquiries, giving them the flexibility to manage incoming job requests from any location.
The Fergus Go app offers full uniformity with its desktop version, allowing users to access the same functionality on their mobile devices. This new feature streamlines the entire job management process, from initial enquiry to job creation and payment, without needing third-party tools like WhatsApp or email. By reducing administrative tasks and centralising enquiries, trades businesses can minimise lost information and missed opportunities, allowing them to focus on growing their operations.
