Mike Swain has joined the UK team of the global vehicle charging manufacturer CTEK as its National Key Account Manager for Electric Vehicle charging equipment.
Mike, 35, joins from a leading sales role at the international lighting manufacturer SLV with a ten-year track record in connecting electrical equipment suppliers to the wholesale and installer markets.
At CTEK, Mike will work alongside CTEK’s UK-based team to stimulate awareness and demand for the award-winning CTEK’s range of Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), increasing its availability through wholesalers and its adoption by installers.
Mike, who lives in Derbyshire with his young family, said: “After a decade in lighting I wanted a new challenge and the EV charging market is growing, exciting and full of possibilities for a quality brand such as CTEK.
“As more people transition to EV mobility, with sales of EVs up, the EV charging market can only grow. CTEK is a manufacturer and a brand, with products of the highest quality, that has what it takes to succeed in this exciting sector.”
His new role will see Mike working to drive the market share of the award-winning CTEK’s CHARGESTORM® CONNECTED 3 (CC3) EV charge point. CC3 is CTEK’s most advanced, future-proof chargepoint, supporting up to 22kW, bidirectional Vehicle to Grid (V2G), and ‘plug & charge’ technology.
Its design, with input from installers, ensures easy installation and long-term reliability. CC3’s flexibility suits fleet, workplace, residential parking, destination and public car parks, making it ideal for today’s and tomorrow’s EV charging needs.
CTEK won Chargepoint Manufacturer of the Year at November’s Electric Vehicle Innovation & Excellence Awards (EVIEs) in the UK and CC3 was a finalist in the Best New Product category.
Henk Lubberts, President of CTEK’s Professional Division, said: “We are delighted to welcome Mike to the UK team. His decade of experience bringing quality electrical manufacturers together with electrical wholesalers and their installer customers is a perfect fit for CTEK and our high quality EV products.”
CTEK’s UK team works with installers to help plan, install and commission EV charging across the UK, offering in-person and on-site support backed by CTEK’s UK based technicians who also provide free training for installers on how to make the most of EV charging equipment opportunities.
