CK Tools, a leading industry name in professional hand tools, is pleased to announce its sponsorship of Leicester College’s new, state-of-the-art Green Technology Hub – an extension of its successful ‘Bright Sparks by CKI’ scheme.
‘Bright Sparks by CKI’, launched in 2003, is a college sponsorship scheme providing free, high-quality tools to colleges across the UK and Ireland, with the aim of supporting the development of the next generation of tradespeople. Since its launch, the scheme has already provided tools to more than 50,000 students, across 60 colleges.
The Green Technology Hub at Leicester College’s Freemen’s Campus was officially opened by Nick Allen, Construction Area Manager, and features pioneering green tech equipment to support a range of courses focused on renewables and green technology. C.K Tools’ sponsorship will see the brand support the delivery of sustainable electrical training, ensuring that students gain hands-on experience with energy-efficient and renewable technologies.
The newly launched programme aims to bridge the gap between education and professional practice, equipping students with the skills and confidence required to begin their careers. The aim is to create a collaborative community of students, tutors and industry professionals through shared success stories, awards and learning resources.
C.K Tools is expanding its online learning platform ‘Productwise’, which now gives users the opportunity to gain additional CPD hours via enriched content and scenario-based learning. The enhanced platform also provides educational materials, awards for outstanding students, and an inclusive social media community.
