Check out this #caughtoncamera sent in by DM Electrical on Facebook – “Look at these bad boys. Landlord called to say the tenant had reported that half the consumer unit wasn’t working. Turned out whoever fitted the 4 year old fuse board hadn’t fitted the busbar properly and it had not been ‘clamped’ when screwed down. These 2 were on the ‘working’ side of dual ECD board. Bizarrely the non working side didn’t have any signs of overheating! No labels on the board either to identify the installer. Unsure if there was a cert on site” ⚠️

House was rewired by a very popular local firm, no labelling on the board, no certification, they charged the client cash and couldn’t even be bothered to put a proper junction box on with cable restraints .”
