Thanks to Nick James for sending in this #caughtoncamera – “A friend of mine has a landlord who told his mate to come round and fix a faulty fan. This is the result…” 💧⚡️
Check out this #caughtoncamera sent in by Jamie Adam – “Not quite sure what purpose this short length of trunking is serving, other than to hold the meter tails over the socket. A bit of sleeving through the wall might have been more use. The electrician had some difficulty getting the lid on – probably due to the 3-phase breakers feeding the larger DB in the main house being on back to front. If the switch direction wasn’t a clue, the fact it wouldn’t sit down on the rail might have been a clue. A bit like the colour coding to show him which phase is which colour, or not. Slightly out of shot at the bottom is the main earth connection to the house. The cable coming down from the MET is fine, but is connected via a banjo to the painted cabinet. The outgoing cable sheath is just connected to the cabinet. No wonder the house ZE was reported as a 0.83Ω. When challenged, the boss of the firm said that the regs were ‘just for guidance’!” 😳
Check out this #caughtoncamera sent in by Gerard Sharkey – “This is an interesting upgrade to a 16th Edition consumer unit, carried out by a qualified electrician…” 🤔
