Swedish manufacturer officially approved as an EV Charge Point manufacturer.
Norrköping, Sweden June, 2020 –
CTEK Sweden AB, a leading global brand in the care and maintenance of vehicle batteries, is pleased to announce that they have been officially approved as an Electrical Vehicle (EV) charge point manufacturer by the Office for Low Emission Vehicles OLEV).
This approval means that CTEK has been added to the OLEV list of approved manufacturers, making CTEK eligible to supply their OLEV approved EV chargers for installations funded by OLEV’s Electrical Vehicle Homecharge Scheme and Workplace Charging Scheme. Both schemes, launched to encourage adoption and development of charging infrastructures for EVs, offer a cash payment to help with start-up costs.
Individuals or organisations can receive funding towards the cost of buying and installing one or several charge points. Cecilia Routledge, Global Director, Energy & Facilities at CTEK said “When deciding to enter into the UK market, OLEV approval was naturally a real priority for us, and we are delighted to have received approval.
With recent National Grid projections* suggesting that the number of EVs on UK roads could reach up to 10.6 million by 2030, rising as high as 36 million by 2040, the number of charging points across the UK needs to increase substantially to match the projected adoption rate of EVs. Electrical installers and wholesalers have a big part to play in this journey and we know they have a huge interest in this rapidly growing market.”
Craig Slater, UK Sales Manager continued “Our OLEV approval means we will be able to work closely with installers on some really exciting projects, and we look forward to forging some really strong partnerships.
Here at CTEK we are really proud of our flexible range of single and dual output products, that are easy to install and maintain. Together with our market-leading load-balancing, and back end solutions we can provide a complete end-to-end solution. The different products offer complete flexibility and have the added benefit of open integration, making them compatible with other thirdparty payment and monitoring systems.”
