In this article we look at one scenario where a new entrant to the electrical certification software market is helping to remove some of the headaches that sparks can traditionally suffer from.
Founded and designed by time-served electrician, Bob Pottle, Vespula Electrical Certification software allows electricians to impress clients by producing excellent quality certificates.
Usable from any device, including PC, Mac, smartphone and tablet, users can create as many certificates as they want, all for one simple price.
Another feature of Vespula is that it lets you enter data in the order that you work, meaning boards, circuits, RCDs and observations etc. are all entered in as you move around the building.
Talking further about his invention, Bob says: “The product also offers great flexibility for users. As it’s cloud-based, you can input data on-site, or in the office. You can also use it on-line or off-line, and any data you’ve entered off-line is seamlessly synchronised when you next have a connection to the internet.”
He concludes: “Vespula is designed to work for everyone – from the one-man band up to large teams. You and your colleagues can work on the same job at the same time – even when you’re off-line.”
STEP BY STEP STARTS HERE
IT TELL’S ITS OWN STORY
- Jake is out on-site in the switch room without an internet connection. He can still input data using Vespula on his iPad.
- His colleague, Bob, is also on-site, but he has an internet connection over 3G. His data will be synced as he works.
- Back in the office Simon inputs all the basic information about the installation while the other two test. He can see the information Bob is inputting as he works.
- When Jake meets up with Bob for a cup of coffee all their data is synced-up using the café’s WiFi connection.
- Simon can now check all the data for the job, authorise it and send it off to the client. Simon is working while Jake and Bob drink their coffee!
- Jake, Bob and Simon haven’t had to worry about synchronising their data. This has all happened in the background while they’ve been busy working.
