Fire Alarm Mains Isolator Keyswitch
This Allows the mains to a fire alarm control panel to be switched on or off as per the requirements of BS 5839-1. Available in red or white with or without an LED Indicator (surface or flush) it’s double pole and fitted with a 5 A fuse. Supplied with a special key that is only available to the responsible person, it is able to be wired with 1 x 2.5mm2 cable or 2 x 1.5mm2 cable to ensure only independent sole main supplies are used to the fire panel as per BS 5839-1 requirements.
Remote LED Indicator
A high-quality remote LED indicator specifically designed for use in fire alarm systems. The unit incorporates a high intensity, wide-angle red LED which is clearly visible from the front of the plate when active. Ideal for indicating the activation of hidden or out of-sight fire detectors, for example, it includes a white ‘write on’ area allowing installers to add equipment locations. It easily fits on standard UK 16 mm flush or surface mount back boxes.
Adaptable Conduit Boxes
A bespoke alternative to standard metal conduit boxes, these products simplify the installation of C-TEC manufactured fire detector bases, base sounders and base sounder VADs onto ceiling tiles, solid ceilings, wooden beams, etc. The boxes can be mounted directly onto a surface or in recesses behind ceiling tiles and plasterboard and they feature multiple access wiring points as well as lots of working space.
24 V BS 5446-3 Vibrating Pillow Pad
This product can be used in conjunction with a BF320JP connection plate to warn the hearing impaired of a potential fire alarm or evacuation alert condition. It vibrates and pulses on and off when triggered as per the requirements of BS 5446-3 (2015) and is designed to be placed under a pillow to supplement the audible and/or visual indication alerts provided by a system’s sounders and/or VADs. The wide 10-30 V DC voltage range means it can also be connected to many third-party connector plates (subject to testing). The unit includes a 2 m connection lead with a locking mini-XLR connector to prevent accidental removal.
