Why Navitas is a serious player in the circuit protection market

William Winter, Director at Navitas, explains why a healthy respect for customers, quality products and the electrical industry in general is helping to secure the brand’s reputation as a serious player in the circuit protection market.

Navitas was created to do something different in the world of circuit protection. We’re a joint venture between the UK team and our manufacturing partner, built from the ground up with one goal in mind: to raise the standard across the board.

This isn’t a business driven by chasing revenue or racing to the bottom on price. Every shareholder in Navitas shares the same belief: that true market leadership comes from respect. Respect for the people using our products. Respect for quality. And respect for the trade.

A team effort

There’s no one person running the show here. We’re a team. Every decision gets challenged, every idea is pushed to be better, and every product we launch is something we’re proud to put our name on. That shared vision and team mentality is what keeps us sharp. It is why we’re moving fast, and it’s why the market is taking notice.

Navitas lives and breathes circuit protection. That’s our focus and it’s what we do best. We offer a complete range of consumer units, MCBs, RCBOs, and RCDs that are designed to make life easier for electricians and deliver maximum safety for customers.

Let’s start with the board. Our consumer units are loaded with features that installers love. Clear neutral bars, generous spacing, rock solid terminals, easy gland entry points and clever little touches that just make installs cleaner and faster. The feedback we get all the time is simple: users can tell this board was designed by people who’ve actually fitted one.

But here’s where the real story kicks in. The board might be what grabs people’s attention, but it’s the devices that make them stay.

To this end, our RCBO range is something we’re genuinely proud of. Compact 2 pole. Fully bidirectional. Individually tested. Every unit that leaves our production line has been tested for consistent tripping times. That’s not something we say to sound impressive. It’s something we do because we believe reliability should never be left to chance.

We offer Type A RCDs as standard and also provide Type B options for specialist installations like EV charging and solar. Our MCBs are Type AC like the rest of the market, but we focus our innovation where it matters most – on the devices that protect people and property.

Complete control over quality

Our setup is different from most. We are a joint venture with our factory which means we do not just buy stock, we help shape it from day one. This gives us access to serious infrastructure for R & D, testing and product development.

It also gives us complete control over our quality processes. We’re not batch testing and crossing our fingers, instead we’re testing every single RCBO that leaves the line. That level of oversight is rare and is one of the key reasons why installers trust what we make.

Here in the UK we hold our own stock and distribute nationally. Our products are available through an ever growing network of electrical wholesalers across the country, including independents and larger groups.

Navitas is not just about boxes and devices – we’re here to back the professionals who use them. That means offering real support in the areas that matter most.

We create detailed technical content that helps make complex regs easier to understand, while we also publish white papers and training resources to help electricians stay ahead of the curve. Our customer support team is UK based and staffed by people who understand the trade. No scripts. No fluff. Just real answers from people who care.

We’re also launching a loyalty programme built around excellence, though this isn’t about points for pens – it’s about rewarding ambition and backing the kind of tradespeople who push themselves to be better every day.

Raising awareness

For us, this year is all about showing up and being seen. We’re attending every ELEX show in 2025 and we’re turning up with purpose. Not just to display products but to have real conversations.

Electricians are smart. They can see through empty noise. So we’re bringing knowledge, value and honest answers. Our stand isn’t about flashy gimmicks, it’s about showing the level of care and quality that goes into everything we do. Outside the ELEX shows, we’re investing heavily in content across all channels – YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and beyond. The focus is always the same: education, insight and content that helps electricians make better decisions.

Our popular Torque Up podcast came from a simple idea: let’s create a platform that gives everyone in the industry a voice. Not just manufacturers like us, but wholesalers, electricians, trainers, mentors and business owners. Everyone plays a role. Everyone has a story.

We talk about the things that really matter. The decline in apprenticeships. Mental health in the trade. What regulation changes actually mean. We bring in people from across the spectrum and just let them speak. No agenda. No scripts.

It’s not about monetisation, it’s about connection, and giving people access to parts of the industry they’d never normally get to see.

The response has been amazing. People listen because it is real and speaks to them. That honesty has helped build deeper relationships between us and the trade we serve.

Give it a try

If you have never used Navitas before, I believe that now is the time. Try one board. Fit one RCBO. And judge us on the experience. Not on the brand name or the price tag, but the end result.

We’re here for electricians who care about their installs. Who want their work to reflect their standards. Who are tired of compromise and want to build their reputation on solid, reliable protection.

We may not be the biggest brand in the market, but we do believe we’re the best. It’s all about proving it one install at a time.
