Andersen, the UK’s designer EV charging brand, has highlighted the strength of its nationwide installation service by fitting two new home chargers at opposite ends of the UK on the same day.
On 22 January Andersen installed bespoke home charge points for two new customers that were 837 miles apart. It is the only home charge point manufacturer to employ its own team of in-house installers with a fully electric vehicle fleet.
The Land’s End customer, Tim Wright (pictured), utilised Andersen’s upgrade service, taking the opportunity to exchange their current EV charge point for a new Andersen unit without having to pay for installation. Tim’s Andersen A3 in Windsor Grey replaced his old third-party supplied charge point, which Andersen took away for recycling.
The John O’Groats customer recently bought their first electric vehicle, and Andersen’s in-house installation service was one of the main reasons they opted for an Andersen A3 over any other charger.
The in-house Andersen installation team is complemented by an accredited partner network of installers that ensure customers always have their new unit fitted to the highest standard as quickly as possible, wherever they are in the UK.
Last year Andersen launched its A3 charge point with a market-leading 7-year warranty – the longest available with any home charge point – covering the charger and all ancillary parts. Just three months after its launch, the Andersen A3 was recognised as the best home EV charger for quality in the What Car? home EV charging review for 2024. The A3 received a score of four stars out of five, scoring highest overall for installation satisfaction and joint highest for ease of use.

Andersen’s acclaimed A2 and A3 are the only home chargers to feature a cable and plug that are hidden away when not in use. The A3 offers charging speeds up to 7kW and comes with a choice of over 240 colour options, as well as a custom colour palette service that allows customers to colour-match their home charge unit to any beloved item. The A3 is equipped with an intuitive LED status indication, as well as a presence sensor, a convenience light located on the underside of the unit, and ‘theatre lighting’ activated when lifting the lid to highlight the cable location and Andersen EV branding.
