Fantastic ‘fore’ to take on MacMillan golf challenge

A group of electrical industry professionals are seeking final donations and support as they attempt to take on 72 holes of golf in one day to raise money for the MacMillan cancer charity.

Jake Hudson and Gary Frost of EVEC will tee it up alongside Jordan Hudson of EV Blocks and electrical/construction professional Jimmy Milne as the team – collectively known as ‘The Dukes of Hazards’ – will attempt to take on the MacMillan Longest Day Golf Challenge at Boston Golf Club.

Jake Hudson, who is Regional Sales Manager at EVEC, says: “Cancer has affected all of us somehow, so the purpose of this challenge is to raise vital funds for MacMillan to help the charity carry on providing physical, financial and emotional support for those who might be impacted by cancer.

“We’re taking this challenge very seriously, with an early-doors start at 5am which will likely finish around 8-9pm. We’ll be undertaking the whole thing on foot, which will be the equivalent of around 26 miles, and plan to have lots of Deep Heat at the ready – especially towards the later holes where you can expect that we’ll be hitting balls every way but straight.”

The event is due to take place on Saturday 22nd June and The Dukes of Hazards team would be grateful for any donations or words of inspiration to help get them to the 73rd hole in one piece.
