Faraday Training Group New Appointments

Middlesbrough-based electrical power training provider, The Faraday Training Group has bolstered its training provision with the appointment of two new lead tutors.

Stuart Wood and Andy Robertson have joined the company to oversee the organisation’s team of course tutors and to deliver a range of electrical power training to clients in the UK and internationally, in sectors including oil and gas, marine and offshore, engineering and construction, chemical, government and the public sector.

The Faraday Training Group, an international electrical training provider with purpose-built facilities in Teesside and Limassol, Cyprus, provides an extensive range of electrical power training courses including low voltage, high voltage, electrical protection, testing courses and marine and offshore courses.

Stuart has over 40 years’ experience working as an electrical engineer within the steel industry, in which he was responsible for managing major project work and plant shutdown periods; all aspects of high voltage and low voltage maintenance; inspections, upgrades and fault finding; as well as process control operations including automation, instrumentation and AC and DC drive control.

Andy joins the company with over 25 years of experience working in the heavy steel industry, having held roles at The Coil Plate Mill in Lackenby, Hartlepool Nuclear Power Station and Port Clarence, Teesside in which he commissioned high voltage and low voltage systems and was a senior authorised personnel and trainer.

“I am pleased to welcome Andy and Stuart to the team. They bring with them combined experience totalling over six decades.”

The appointment of the new lead tutors follows a period of rapid growth for The Faraday Training Group with the company recently employing two new lecturers who will deliver the company’s expanding range of courses, and plans to appoint a third lead tutor next month.

Suhail Mitoubsi, General Manager of The Faraday Training Group, said: β€œI am pleased to welcome Andy and Stuart to the team. They bring with them combined experience totalling over six decades.

β€œWe pride ourselves on offering courses of the highest quality, and this is in part due to the calibre and breadth of expertise provided by our tutors. I am confident that Andy and Stuart will contribute greatly to this.”

Stuart said of his appointment: β€œI am delighted to join The Faraday Training Group and look forward to utilising my experience to provide a diverse range of clients with training and practical experience, which will allow them to successfully and competently carry out their duties.”

Speaking of his new role Andy said: β€œThe Faraday Training Group has a stellar reputation for the quality of its electrical training, and I am thrilled to be joining the company in such an exciting time of growth.”

This growth follows the launch of several new training courses including: Up-Skilling, which aims to enhance the skills of those who work within the electrical sector and was established in response to the growing demand for multi-skilled electrical technicians; three new EAL low voltage courses; and the Refresher in the Safe Operation of Offshore/Maritime High Voltage Power Systems course, which was established in response to customer demand for refresher and reassessment courses for the maritime industry.
