Fiat Professional’s New E-Doblò has been crowned Best Small Electric Van for 2023 at the annual DrivingElectric award. The accolade marks the first award for the electric van since its launch in June 2022.
New E-Doblò was praised for its versatility, charging capabilities, and safety devices features, by DrivingElectric’s panel of expert judges.
Richard Ingram, Editor DrivingElectric said: “Fiat e-Doblò is our Best Small Electric Van for 2023. Easy to drive, versatile and quick to charge, it makes the switch to electric a no-brainer for so many business owners.”
In recognition of E-Doblò’s versatility, the Best Small Electric Van is available in two lengths and two different configurations – Panel and Crew Cab.
The short wheelbase Panel van has a cargo volume of 3.3m³ and an external length of 4.4m, while the long wheelbase version has a cargo volume of 3.9m³ with a length of 4.75m.
Meanwhile, the Crew Cab – only available with a long wheelbase – possess a cargo volume of 3.5m³ and a length of 4.75m.
New E-Doblò boasts a 100kW electric motor and a 50kWh battery which allows up to 175 miles in the WLTP cycle.
It also offers charging capabilities up to 100kW, which allows the van to reach 80% charge in just 30 minutes.
The stand-out safety feature on E-Doblò is the Magic Mirror, which thanks to two cameras – one under the right rear-view mirror and the other above the rear doors – ensures the driver has three different views to perform the most complicated manoeuvre in the safest possible fashion.
The entire space of the E-Doblò is tailored to driver and passenger needs with great attention given to acoustic comfort, reducing the average noise level inside the cabin, to ensure a more pleasant driving experience.
Richard Chamberlain, Head of Fiat Professional in the UK, said: “Following E-Doblò being recognised as Best Small Electric Van at this year’s Driving Electric Awards, we are delighted that the Fiat Professional van range continues to impress both customers and industry experts.”
