Hudson, the UK’s leading independent group of specialist cable containment companies, has appointed Paul Nolan as projects director.
Paul brings extensive cable management expertise to the team having worked in the industry for more than 30 years. He began his career in sales at Vantrunk and has since held senior business development roles at companies, including Mita and Cablofil.
At Hudson, Paul will be responsible for growing the group’s newly launched business, Milton, which specialises in corrosive and hazardous cable management. Milton has recently agreed a partnership with the Wibe Group to distribute Mita’s GRP cable management products and Wibe steel cable ladder systems to the UK.
Milton joins two other companies that form part of Hudson, including RMS, a specialist offsite manufacturer of cable management solutions, and Armorduct, a manufacturer of standard and bespoke cable management systems.
Speaking about his appointment, Paul said: “There is a huge, untapped market for Wibe and Mita’s products in the UK, so it’s an exciting time to join the business. I’ll be working closely with M&E contractors to help position Milton as their first choice for cable management in hazardous and corrosive environments. Our priority is to provide cost-effective, durable solutions for demanding projects in sectors such as infrastructure, marine, power and industrial.
“My vast experience of the cable management sector also means I can support the wider Hudson group to bolster relationships with new and existing clients. With a strong vision focused on quality and innovation, Hudson has ambitious plans for growth and I’m looking forward to being part of that.”
Hudson’s CEO Simon Hudson-Smith added: “Hudson now offers an unrivalled range of cable management products and solutions, putting the group in a strong market position and creating significant opportunities for further expansion. Paul’s expertise will be instrumental in helping us to strengthen our customer base and achieve our wider business goals.
“Throughout his long and successful career, Paul has gained an extensive knowledge of cable management products which will enable us to seamlessly integrate Milton into the group and provide a new and specialist service to our clients.”
