JTL has announced it will sponsor Europe’s most successful under-13s girls’ football team, City of Stoke U13s.
The side has attracted attention from national media, and even appeared on Sky Sports News, having not lost a single match in over three years.
The team, which trains at the City of Stoke football club, has started playing in the boys’ league due to its success.
JTL will sponsor the team’s new home and away kit, along with the rain jackets.
JTL’s Chief Executive Jon Graham said: “We are looking forward to supporting the team and watching their continued success this season.
“We are committed to nurturing talent and encouraging young people to reach their full potential.
“The fact this team is also breaking boundaries by playing in a boys’ league mirrors our mission of encouraging more young women to develop careers as electricians and plumbers.”
Landen Burton, the side’s manager, said: “We are so proud of the team’s achievements to date and it’s been incredible watching them go from strength to strength over the past few years.
“To see their commitment and dedication rewarded with the support given by JTL is fantastic and I’m confident this new sponsorship will help the team take on the challenges they face this season.”
