Rhino Products Group acquire competitor Hubb Systems

Leading manufacturers of commercial vehicle accessories, Rhino Products, have acquired competitor company, Hubb Systems.

The Rhino Products Group, headquartered in a dedicated 87,250 sqft manufacturing and office facility in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, have firmly established themselves as the market leader within the commercial vehicle accessories sector over the past two decades. The acquisition of Hubb Systems supports Rhino Products in the continued diversification of their product range for customers, alongside opening an even larger share of the market for their commercial vehicle accessories. For existing Hubb Systems customers this acquisition means they will benefit from the Rhino Products Group’s commitment to product quality, innovation and industry leading service levels.

With a team of nine in-house graduate design engineers on hand, Rhino Products will gradually be introducing a select number of Hubb Systems products into their own catalogue, with a series of improvements and design upgrades already underway to bring these new products in line with Rhino’s high quality and rigorous testing standards.

Commenting on the acquisition of Hubb Systems, Steve Egerton, Rhino Products Group CEO said: “We are delighted to announce the successful acquisition of Hubb Systems. The Rhino Products journey has always been centred around growth and pushing forward, with our dedicated teams ensuring that any challenge is hit head on with strong drive and determination.

The acquisition of Hubb Systems ensures that we can offer our industry leading products to an even larger share of the market, while also continuing to diversify our product range. We look forward to making a series of exciting further product announcements in the coming weeks and months. As we continue working towards our ambitious growth plans, I have no doubt that this year will prove to be another extremely exciting and successful one for the Rhino Products group, and I look forward to working with our fantastic internal teams to make 2022 a year to remember.”

With additional offices based in The Netherlands, Sweden and Poland, the Rhino Products brand is known for offering the very best products in terms of aesthetics, reliability, and testing, to customers across the globe.

Currently entering a new phase of ambitious growth plans, the Rhino Products Group have taken on a wealth of new challenges for 2022, continuing to drive themselves further ahead of the competition. Recently launching a dedicated delivery service for customers named Rhino Express, providing next day first-class service, alongside development of new products to market in the coming months, the acquisition of Hubb Systems adds to Rhino’s exciting roster of announcements this year.

This new acquisition into the Rhino Products Group comes as the company celebrates the fifth anniversary of their last major acquisition, AVS Steps, in 2017. AVS are leading the way in the design and manufacturing of passenger and emergency service vehicle side steps and have excelled in terms of both product quality and reliability since being welcomed into the Rhino Group. This announcement follows the news that mid-market private equity firm LDC backed Rhino Group in 2020 to help supercharge their growth – a strategy that can now be seen coming to fruition in this exciting acquisition.
