PE headed to Twickenham to watch the VansA2Z team tackle the increasingly difficult challenge of naming the best vans of the year.
The home of English Rugby has grown accustomed to playing host to those at the very top of their game in recent times and the seventh VansA2Z awards continued the tradition. Now established as one of the most prestigious celebrations in the light commercial vehicle sector, the judges faced their most pressing task to date as 2016 saw sales records for many manufacturers broken on an almost monthly basis and the introduction of a number of highly significant new vehicles. Nonetheless, the winners were chosen and the results are as follows:
Small Van – Ford Fiesta Van
Light Van – Fiat Doblò Cargo
Small Panel Van – Citroën Dispatch, Peugeot Expert and Toyota Proace
Medium Panel Van – Ford Transit Custom
Large Panel Van – Volkswagen Crafter
Pick-up – Nissan Navara
Light Truck – Fuso Canter
4×4 CDV – Dacia Duster
4×4 Panel Van – Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4×4
Diesel ecoVan – Fiat Fiorino Cargo
Eco Van of the Year – Nissan e-NV200
VAN OF THE YEAR – VOLKSWAGEN CRAFTER (pictured below)
