Which? Awards 2025: Trader of the Year and Renewables Installer of the Year shortlist announced

Which? is pleased to share the shortlist for its prestigious annual Which? Awards.

Established by the UK’s consumer champion, the Which? Awards recognise brands that are championing consumers by consistently producing the best products and services, while maintaining the highest customer service standards.

The Which? Awards are completely independent. Brands cannot nominate themselves or influence award outcomes. Shortlists are decided by a rigorous set of criteria including brand performance in Which? testing and surveys, reliability, analysis of provider data and results from investigations.

This year’s awards include the Renewables Installer of the Year category.

The Renewable Installers category focuses specifically on those that provide green energy solutions for homes and businesses. Performance was judged betweenΒ 28 Feb 2024 and 10 Feb 2025.

All companies shortlisted have shown dedication to providing the best service to their customers, as demonstrated through positive feedback, compliance with Which?’s code of conduct and having a positive community impact.

Renewables Installer of the Year Shortlist:

  • Fusion Renewables Ltd
    • Dumfriesshire-based family-run business providing expert renewable energy solutions. Specialising in solar PV, electric chargers, battery storage and maintenance. They design, install and service bespoke systems with a free site survey included. Committed to affordability and sustainability.
  • Kimbletech
    • A Buckinghamshire-based family-run business specialising in solar panel and battery installations, ensuring high-quality services and customer satisfaction. They provide tailored renewable energy solutions to meet each property’s unique needs.
  • So Go Solar Ltd
    • Middlesex-based specialist solar energy company that designs and installs Solar PV systems, battery storage and EV charging points. They have extensive experience and have a strong reputation for delivering high-quality tailored solutions, with each system customised to meet individual customer needs.
  • The Solar & Renewables co. Ltd
    • Kent-based company, committed to the future of green energy in the UK this company aims to provide a seamless customer experience for solar and renewable installations. With innovative tools like an interactive calculator and thorough post-installation checklist, customers receive tailored systems with high quality workmanship.

As the UK looks to achieve its net zero goals many consumers want to reduce their carbon footprint, seeing retrofitting their house as a way they can reduce emissions. Therefore, this award has been introduced to recognise installers who are providing customers with the knowledge and services to help achieve this goal.

Last year to assist consumers and traders with reducing homes carbon emissions Which? launched itsΒ Home Energy Planning Tool, created in partnership with Snugg the tool provides users with easily accessible information on their home’s energy efficiency and recommends next steps to make their properties more energy efficient and connect them with a Trusted Trader.

The awards will take place on the 21st May. The winners in each category are decided by an expert panel of judges. Winners will receive a trophy and are entitled to use a Which? Awards winner endorsement logo across all marketing for a year.
