Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has launched the PowerPact 4 Power Boards, the next generation in wall-mounted power boards. The new addition act as the answer to all power requirements, enhancing installation efficiency, safety, and flexibility of electrical distribution systems.
The redesigned low-voltage power boards, manufactured and tested to BS EN 61439-1, has a number of new features aimed to make installation and management of electrical systems simpler, quicker and more effective.
The new power board offers electrical contractors simplified installation and greater overall usability. The panel’s overall size and depth has been reduced, making it more space-efficient and opening up new sites. In total, the panel size is reduced by 17% compared to the previous model, making it the smallest solution on the market.
As well as the reduced size, the board is now suitable for a wider range of industrial and commercial applications. Removable pins on doors enable it to be opened from either side, while handles on the inner panels allow contractors to easily cover and access the distribution system. Product data is easily accessible with digital QR codes on the inside of the doors, improving maintenance efficiency and usage.
The new power board also boasts greater flexibility and reliability. The utilisation of Compact NSXm allows more outgoing ways without compromising on space. One of the smallest molded case circuit breakers on the market, the Compact NSXm features a number of innovative features, from DIN rail mounting axillaries with externally visible indications and EverLink terminal connections. EverLInk, a patented technology, is a new connection method on circuit breakers with creep compensation technology build directly into the terminal. Not only does this mean bare cables are safe but it saves space and time, improving overall wiring assembly.
Harnessing connectivity, Schneider Electric’s PowerPact 4 leverages technology to help users monitor system health and energy usage. The ability to integrate smart metering makes predictive and effective maintenance instantly possible.
