The new Collingwood Lighting floodlight brings something new and truly revolutionary to the market.
Perfect for commercial, residential or security use, the updated MKII floodlight has a variety of unique features which make it easier to install than any other floodlight before it.
The expert research and development team at Collingwood have taken what was an already successful floodlight range and enhanced it even further, to ensure it truly is a market-leading product.
As well as refining the light to provide superior quality for the customer, many of the additional new features have been designed to improve the installation process, making it quicker and easier to install than ever before.
MKII has a new ‘first fix’ circular bracket which means it can be fixed onto the wall quickly and easily without the installer having to hold the heavy floodlight at the same time. Unlike with a standard rectangular bracket, this eliminates the need to fumble around with a spirit level at the top of a ladder at the time of installation.
Another new feature is the 360° orientation of the bracket. Most floodlights on the market can only be orientated in a 180° angle. This means the floodlight must be mounted in the plane it is illuminating, where there may not be a suitable mounting place.
The new MKII floodlight, however, can be rotated to any angle after it’s been mounted and can also be easily reangled if an area is redesigned.
As with all Collingwood Lighting products, the practicality comes at no expense to the quality of the light – it doesn’t matter how easy an LED is to install if the resulting quality and efficiency is not up to scratch.
For example, a lot of work has been done to reduce flicker on LEDs across the Collingwood Lighting range. This is important for visual comfort with all lights, and probably even more so with large floodlights. A 1% flicker level has been recorded on the MKII, representing a vast improvement on its predecessors.
The added benefit of flicker free 10W and 20W floodlights is they allow for a much-improved image if they are being used alongside CCTV cameras for security purposes.
The new floodlight is also more efficient than ever, up to a huge market-leading 118lm/W, compared to a market average of 80lm/W, adding up to a great saving in energy bills.
If all the above wasn’t enough, the MKII offers THREE different colour temperatures in one product. Using the toggle on the back, it can be switched between a 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white or a 6500K cool white. This can be easily adjusted before, during or after installation, so the best lighting for the environment can be decided once the product is in situ. It can also be changed depending on the use or the season.
A cooler temperature is good for illuminating driveways and for security purposes, while a warmer colour temperature is perfect for gardens and pathways.
For the contractor it means offering ultimate versatility for the customer without having to have lots of different lights in the van and for the wholesaler it means stocking one floodlight instead of three.
Other features to note include an even stronger passive infrared sensor with PIR override system, a wide 120° beam angle, 25,000-hour life span and of course the Collingwood Lighting guarantee of high quality built to last.
