C.K Tools Launches Cutter King Competition

C.K tools begins the search for the best cable cutter in the land.

Have you got a grip of steel? Can you cut through a length of cable in lightning speed? If so, C.K tools needs you! With the support of Professional Electrician, C.K tools has announced the launch of a special competition to find the country’s C.K Cutter King or Queen.

The competition comes following the launch of its new and improved range of popular Redline VDE side cutters, designed specifically with electrical work in mind.

C.K tools identified that side cutters were historically manufactured with a one size fits all approach, manufactured with an obtuse cutting angle to provide the strength needed for cutting through high tensile steel wire used in the construction industry. Until now, there has been a distinct lack of choice for side cutters that are specifically designed for the effortless cutting of wires electricians deal with, day in, day out.

Through an exhaustive testing program, C.K tools redefined the cutting geometry of its side cutters to define the optimum blade angles for the effortless cutting of copper and aluminium cables.

Every C.K tool product is developed with safety in mind, and the Redline VDE Side cutters are no exception; all are individually tested to 10,000V and VDE Institute certified. The cutters’ ergonomically designed high grip handles, combined with leading cutting performance, prevent health issues that can come with using lower quality tools, such as trigger finger and repetitive strain injuries.

If you think you have what it takes to take the crown, all you have to do is the following:

● Ask a friend or colleague to film your challenge so that your cutting can be seen and counted
● Take a length of 10mm earth cable
● Using 160mm side cutters, make as many clean cuts as possible in 20 seconds
● Upload the video to the C.K tools Facebook page using the hashtag #CKCutterKing
● Once uploaded, why not nominate a colleague to see whether they’ve got what it takes to better your efforts.
