At this year’s ELEX show, Megger is exhibiting new testers that have been designed to make life safer, easier and more convenient for electrical contractors.
The groundbreaking MFT1741 multifunction installation tester takes the headaches out of loop impedance testing, while the new AVO800 series multimeters have an innovative simultaneous AC and DC voltage measurement function that greatly increases user safety.
There will be live demonstrations of these exciting new instruments – and other Megger products of interest to contractors – throughout the exhibition. Expert representatives will also be available to answer visitors’ questions about electrical testing.
The MFT1741 uses a new method of loop testing that gives leading non-trip performance, even in “noisy” circuits, as well as eliminating problems with “RCD uplift”. It is also the first multifunction installation tester that lets you carry out non-trip tests on 10mA RCDs and RCBOs.
In addition, the MFT1741 features a confidence meter. This shows you clearly when the measured result is stable, which means you can carry out loop tests on “quiet” circuits much more quickly, and that you can have total confidence in the results you get when working on “noisy” circuits.
And as you would expect, the MFT1741 gives you all of the other functions you’ll need for testing installations in accordance with the 18th edition of the wiring regulations.
