Collingwood Lighting recently started offering terminal connectors alongside its Halers LED downlight range. So what does this mean for installers?
The new terminal connectors developed by Collingwood Lighting have set out to revolutionise the process of fitting a Halers LED downlight, with the understanding that time on site is precious. The once time consuming and fiddly wiring task can now be completed in a matter of seconds without the need for tools; dramatically reducing the time spent on site by contractors.
‘T’ versions of the Halers LED downlight range give contractors the option of buying each product complete with push-fit connectors that are ready to install quickly and easily.
Rather than relying on screw-fix or ratchet systems, the T connector simply uses push-fit terminals to allow for quick loop in/loop out wiring. The connector comes pre-attached to the downlight, so it only has to be fitted at one end, eliminating the need for separate junction boxes.
Simple steps to a quick and secure installation:
Three reasons to choose the T connector:
No tools
Unlike other products on the market which rely on screw-fit or ratchet systems, the Collingwood downlight connector utilises push-fit technology and is ready to install without the need for any tools at all.
Safe and secure
The Collingwood T connector has been meticulously designed and stress-tested to make sure wiring stays put even under increased load. In-built adaptors allow for both UK and European cable dimensions for added versatility.
Save time and money
Because wiring the terminal connector takes only a matter of seconds, contractors can save valuable time – and therefore money – on site.
Since launch, the new T connector product is already receiving praise from electricians.
Michael and Ashley Croot of MJC Electrical said: “The Collingwood T connector is an excellent product with a very good quality feel and it’s so easy to use. The push connectors are very quick. The T connector cuts the fitting time down dramatically. Once the cables are in, the light is up and you’re off the steps and onto the next one. It’s nice to use and much more practical; push in, click, done.”
