Metrel’s ring continuity adapter (A2214) simplifies the process of Ring final circuit testing.
R1, R2 and RN are measured and displayed simultaneously, without all the clipping and unclipping normally required. For R1+ R2 and R1 + RN measurement, the adapter remains at the distribution board, clipped to the incoming conductor. The tester and BS 1363 plug test lead are then used to measure the sockets around the ring. Both measurements are performed at the same time, and the highest readings are moved into the memory so you don’t have to go round twice. Nor do you have to undertake any of the bundling connections that you normally would.
