BFT Survey: Survey results reveal high levels of optimism amongst installers

Installers feeling positive and optimistic about industry growth for the year ahead

A recent survey conducted by BFT Automation, the leading automation specialist and part of the SOMFY Group, revealed rising levels of optimism across the industry, with installers expressing confidence in industry growth and long-term prospects.

More than 70% of installers responding to BFT’s annual customer survey, indicated that they felt either positive or optimistic about the growth in the industry over the next 6 to 12 months. The results point to a shift in sentiment as the industry looks ahead to 2025.

Survey results also show that automated gate installation has seen significant growth amongst installers. More than 60% of installers, mentioned that this has been a substantial workstream for them, exceeding all other installations, including that of bollards and barriers.

Commenting on the survey highlights, Matthew Batson, Director of Sales at BFT Automation, said:

“The optimism and positivity felt by installers is promising as we look ahead to 2025. Our installer base covers both self-employed individuals and larger firms so this is good news across the board.

“The survey has reflected growing demand for automated gate products, and our sales figures mirror this.  There are a number of drivers for this; from rising car crime and changing design aesthetics in residential settings to demand for upgraded and automated security in commercial properties.

“We look forward to supporting our installer clients and their businesses to turn this optimism into results over the coming year.”
