CEF focuses on customer convenience as it opens new stores around the UK

The UK’s leading multi-channel electrical distributor CEF is expanding its service to customers with the opening of new stores across the UK.

The first new store was recently opened in Leyland, Lancashire on 07 November 2022. It is the only dedicated electrical distributor in the town and will comprehensively service the domestic, commercial, industrial and renewable sectors.

The new CEF Leyland store offers almost 4,000sq ft space, carrying over 3,000 stock lines and provides employment for 4 members of staff.

While many loyal customers already shop with CEF at their nearby Preston and Chorley stores, the new Leyland location will provide greater convenience and the same great service in a growing town with an ever-increasing demand for electrical products, energy saving lighting and renewables. The store stocks a wide range of electrical products for domestic, commercial and industrial applications including big name brands that customers know and trust.

To reduce energy consumption and its carbon footprint, the new store has been fitted out with low wattage LED panels. The warehouse uses LED high bays and LED battens, with microwave sensors to maximise energy savings.

Branch Manager Mark Pollard commented: “We aim to provide outstanding customer service to all our customers. Going above and beyond is in our DNA and we are bringing this ethos to Leyland. With almost 20 years of experience within the electrical industry, we’re confident we can achieve this.”

“Our friendly, approachable and enthusiastic team have the knowledge and expertise to source, service and supply. We are also actively looking to work with and support local community projects and charities with fundraising, donations and raising awareness.”

More stores coming in the future

On a recent episode of the TechTalking podcast, CEF’s Managing Director, Chris Ashworth set out plans to increase the number of CEF stores to serve local electricians and contractors across the UK: “It’s all about customer convenience” he said. “We need to have stores and products close to where customers are working, supplemented by the width of our online offer and service, and beyond that provide solutions and support to their businesses as well.”

CEF also moved its existing Leicester store to bigger and better premises at the end of October. The new store provides customers with access to a greater width and depth of stock in over 8,750 sq ft of space together with improved customer parking.
