Klein Tools has introduced the MM400 – a new digital multimeter offering fast and accurate readings, to help installers get on with their daily work with ease.
The auto-ranging multimeter offers a variety of functions all in one handy-sized device, measuring up to 600V AC/DC voltage, 10A AC/DC current and 40 MΩ resistance.
In addition to these basic functions, the MM400 also provides readings for temperature, capacitance, frequency and duty-cycle plus test diodes and continuity.
Like all Klein Tools, the MM400 has been designed with the needs of the installer in mind. The CE certified/CAT III rated multimeter has a large, bright backlit display to make the readings clear to see and chunky dials and buttons which can be operated with or without gloves.
It has a moulded rubber case so it is comfortable to hold, and a back stand for installers who prefer to work hands free.
Understanding that anything going into an installers’ tool bag needs to be robust, the MM400 is built to last and is designed to withstand a 1m drop. It can be used in temperatures ranging from 0° – 1000°F (-18° – 538°C) so is suitable for all kinds of indoor and outdoor jobs too.
Ideal for use in basic and controlled electromagnetic environments (such as residential, business and light-industrial locations), the MM400 comes with everything an installer needs to get started, including test leads, a thermocouple with adapter and batteries.
The test leads can be neatly tucked into the multimeter’s moulded holders, ensuring its accessories are protected and kept with the unit when not in use.
Gerard Herbert from Klein Tools said: “Measurements are a regular part of any electrical contractors’ work, so being able to carry out these tasks quickly and accurately is essential.
With the MM400, installers will find a whole host of functionality and features which allow them to quickly measure voltage, resistance, frequency and much more on a device designed to be in their tool bag.
It’s the perfect marriage of advanced technology and rugged design that installers have come to expect from Klein Tools.”
