MIDFIX, introduces a flameproof range of cable accessories to help electrical contractors comply with the latest changes in the 18th edition wiring regulations.
The comprehensive range features more than 20 fully compliant products including the firmβs unique firesafe tie mount, which has a patent pending for its innovative design.
Developed in-house by MIDFIXβs product development team, the new firesafe tie mount features cable friendly rounded edges and a clever snap-off tab for holding and positioning the mount during installation. They can be used with all cordless nailing tools, removing the need to change noses and making fitting quick and easy.

The 18th edition regulations have been implemented in response to a number of fatal, fire-related incidents where people have been trapped by falling cables and alters the way cables are fixed throughout buildings. The new rules came into force on 1st January 2019 and apply to all installations designed from that date onwards.
