How To Install The Airflow QuietAir Fan: Step-By-Step

We look at the simple steps involved with fitting the QuietAir range of fans from Airflow Developments.

The QuietAir range of elegant, discreet axial fans are supremely quiet and activate only when necessary. With a low energy consumption, and an SFP rating of 0.24 w/l/s, the fans are an incredibly efficient product.

QuietAir 100mm and 120mm extract fans set new standards for the reliable, low cost ventilation of toilets, en-suites, bathrooms, utility rooms and living areas. With just 5W power usage and extremely low noise levels of 25 dB(A), you will hardly hear the fan running – even at night!

There’s also a delay start version of two minutes to avoid unnecessary use (especially at night) which, over a sustained period, will save a lot of energy.

The 100mm version is for toilets, bathrooms and en-suites with a 120mm version designed for larger bathrooms, utility rooms and living spaces. High pressure for longer ducts with a flow of 75m3/hr/90m3/hr for the QT100 and 150m3/hr/170m3/hr for the 120 version, the high efficiency impeller delivers up to 60m3/hr (QT100) and 120m3/hr (QT120) through long lengths of rigid ducting, including 90obends.

The fans also feature an innovative “Room Refresh” option for programmable ventilation every 4, 8, 12 or 24 hours. The long life ball-bearing motors have a life span of 40,000 hours. The IP45 rating (QT100) can be installed in Zone 1 with an RCD and includes a clip-on cover for ease of cleaning. The range also complies with the latest Building Regulations.
