The topic of surge protection and how it needs to be assessed and implemented in both commercial and domestic projects, as part of the new 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, is an important part of the mandatory changes.
To support electrical contractors, Hager offers a range of Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 surge protection devices (SPDs), which are classified according to their function and feature an operational window to indicate when a replacement surge protection device is needed.
In addition, Hagerβs pre-fitted distribution boards are available for both commercial and residential projects, and come with the option to include built-in SPD protection. This removes the need for additional wiring.
