Tamlite Lighting, one of the UK’s largest privately-owned lighting companies, is celebrating its British origins having been granted membership to the Made in Britain organisation.
Made in Britain supports and promotes British manufacturing, enabling buyers and consumers at home and abroad to identify British-made products.
Founded in 1967, Tamlite has continued to build on its success which, alongside supplying high quality-lighting solutions, it believes is due to having its extensive research and development, testing and manufacturing facilities based in the heart of Britain.
With Brexit looming, the Midlands-based company says there has never been a better time to buy British products and be part of an organisation which brings together the British manufacturing community, promoting members to businesses and consumers in the UK and overseas.
With 24% of construction products used in the UK being imported, new customs rules could have an impact on supplies from 1st January 2021 and buying British products will lessen the impact of any disruption within the supply chain, says Tamlite’s Managing Director John Allden.
He comments: “We are delighted to receive accreditation as a member of Made in Britain. Our aim is to deliver excellence at every level of the supply chain and the Made in Britain mark will help our customers identify Tamlite as a company that they can trust.”
