The Milwaukee ONE-KEY App will track all compatible tools within a 30m range of your phone.
The annual Milwaukee End User conference once again lived up to expectations as the historic city of Berlin entertained the companyโs customers with a full day of live demonstrations on the companyโs latest exciting batch of new products, with a stein or two thrown in for good measure once the proceedings had drawn to a close.
Electricians are well stocked again for this year, with Milwaukeeโs mission to make the jobsite a cordless one gathering further pace thanks to the launch of some innovative new tools that are sure to be a hit with sparks. Further new additions have been introduced to the powerful M18 FUEL range of 18V cordless tools, including the ยผโ Hex Surge impact driver and a new screw gun with collated attachment. The launch of 9.0 Ah battery technology, a high performance LED stand light and a brand new compact hand vac were also notable highlights.
Youโve got the KEY
Talk of the town, however, was the latest updates on Milwaukeeโs Integrated Tool Tracking technology โ ONE-KEY โ which provides full visibility to how and where compatible tools are being used across a network of jobs and users, as well as helping to pinpoint missing units.
The ONE-KEY App will track all compatible tools within a 30m range of your phone. By building the functionality into the tool, not the battery, all tools are trackable, even if the battery isnโt charged or connected. The App will automatically store the last time it was within range of your tool and, if you leave a tool behind, you can check the App to easily pinpoint the last location and time you were within 30m of that missing tool.
If youโve lost a tool, you can expand your search with the help of other users. By opting in, when any phone with the ONE-KEY App comes in within 30m of your tool, youโll receive a notification with an updated location via phone or email.
Tool Tracking leverages the infrastructure of your smart device, forgoing costly tracking technology to deliver real-time updates of tool locations anywhere the ONE-KEY App is found.
