Glen Dimplex Heating & Ventilation, the manufacturer behind the Dimplex, Creda and Nobo brands, has launched a dedicated new website on the upcoming Lot 20 regulations.

The website is designed to help contractors, installers, merchants, wholesalers and others in the trade get to grips with how the new standard will affect electrical heating appliances.

Reflecting the Company’s commitment to helping the industry understand and adapt to the latest changes in regulation, the website is the an information hub for the trade, providing up to date information on the incoming legislation – set to be the biggest shakeup of electric heating in decades.

From January 2018, all local space heaters manufactured for sale into the EU must comply with a minimum efficiency standard under Lot 20 of the Energy Efficiency Directive –  a measure aimed at phasing out inefficient technologies and reducing the energy used in homes.

It means that all local space heaters using electricity, gaseous or liquid fuels must comply with a minimum efficiency standard. This includes electric panels, radiators, storage heaters and electric fires.
